HDDScan is a freeware hard drive diagnostics utility which will perform a series of tests your your hard drive or other storage devices connected to a PC such as RAID arrays, USB flash devices and SSD solid state drives.
To be more specific, HDDScan analyses the surface of a disk while using S.M.A.R.T. data to fetch different attributes about the drive. These include Rad Read Error Rate, Seek Error Rate, etc.
In the main user interface of HDDScan, you can activate different tasks such as scheduling a task queue, selecting specific connected or installed mass storage devices and manage the different processes. By default, the device serial number, firmware and model are displayed.
After tests have been completed, details are displayed in the main user interface and can be exported as different file formats like HTML or TXT.

HDD Scan can be used on a computer running Windows 11 or Windows 10. Previous versions of the OS shouldn't be a problem with Windows 8 and Windows 7 having been tested. It comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit downloads.
